British Airline to Sue over Increased “Security”

I love the free market:

Ryanair today threatened to sue the government for compensation unless airport security measures are returned to normal within seven days.

Michael O’Leary, the outspoken chief executive of Ryanair, described the new restrictions as “farcical Keystone Cops security measures that don’t add anything except to block up airports”, as he issued the ultimatum.

Politicians are implementing these security restrictions because if they don’t their political opponents will claim they’re weak on terrorism. They’re mostly a security theatre. They’re guarding against the terrorist techniques from last week which will never protect us moving forward.

The more restrictions they place on air travel the more our economy will suffer – which means the terrorists win.
