Small Bug with WordPress Content Importing

One bug which can have a negative SEO impact on Typepad migrations.

Older URLs return 302 not HTTP 301.

For example fetching this:

http://www.feedblog.org/2007/04/slack_and_mysql.html

returns a 302 redirect to:

http://feedblog.org/2007/04/27/slack-and-mysql/

It should return a 301 ….

  1. How’s it look now?

  2. Awesome… that rocks. I assume it was just a LiteSpeed equivalent of mod_rewrite change?

Also… noticed that http://www.feedblog.org does a 302 to feedblog.org… That should probably be a 301 too… is this the same setup for all wordpress users?

  3. That is fixed too.
