Et Tu Lieberman?

If this is true Lieberman just killed off his political career:

A senior GOP source said the money was part of Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove’s strategy to maintain a Republican majority in the Senate in November. The source said Mr. Rove, together with Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, directed leading pro-Bush contributors to donate millions of dollars to Mr. Lieberman’s campaign for re-election in Connecticut in an attempt that he would be a “Republican-leaning” senator.

Taking money from the enemy. Not cool dude.

  1. this, like most republican dirty deeds, is brilliant. giving money to lieberman is exactly what the republicans should be doing. lieberman has already proven himself to be a spineless ally of the white house. if he wins thanks to republican money, then that’s one less senate seat the republicans need to worry about. even if he loses, there’s a strong chance that the money the republicans invested in lieberman means he will get a chunk of the vote. and if everything went right, that chink could be big enough to keep lamont from winning the seat from whatever republican is running for it. don’t you see the genius?

  2. I’m not saying it’s not a brilliant move by the Republicans. The enemy of my enemy is my friend of course……..

I just don’t think Lieberman should have taken the money but then again the man is scum.
